ActivX has over 10 years experience developing active site probes for the profiling of a variety of enzyme classes in native proteomes from any species. The utility of these probes in facilitating drug discovery and development efforts has been validated for multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, metabolic diseases and pain management.

The active site probes broadly fall into two categories: enzyme class directed and motif based probes. While enzyme class directed probes react with members of specific enzymatic classes based on conserved features within their catalytic domains, motif based probes contain reactive groups that target multiple, diverse enzyme types.
